About the School

Sitan Tai Chi is a Tai Chi school set up in New York, USA by the first world Wushu and Tai Chi championship, Mr. Sitan Chen, its mission is to promote Tai Chi by utilizing standardized teaching courses, training qualified teachers, and adopting scientific teaching management.

Chen Sitan

Sitan Chen (陈思坦) started his martial arts career when he was 6 years old. He entered the Fuzhou City Youth Sports School in 1975 and was chosen to join the Fujian Martial Arts team of China. He retired and became a martial arts coach in 1997. In twenty years of competition, Sitan Chen has won a total of 32 gold medals, and the title of champion in national and international Taiji competitions. As a famous world Taiji champion, he has received invitations to coach in many countries including Japan, Singapore, Korea, Philippines, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, the United States, and Hong Kong. Two of his students have become champions after his training. A student from Switzerland won the title of European Taiji Champion. And another student from Hong Kong was the East-Asia Game Women’s Taiji Competition Champion. This same student was the champion of Women’s Taiji in Hong Kong.

Lynn X. Lin

Master Lynn X. Lin is a Wushu international referee certified by International Wushu Federation (IWUF) and national trainer certified by the United States of America Wushu Kung-fu Federation (USAWKF). Concurrently, she is co-founder and Vice President of Tai Chi Qigong Association of America and Vice President of Sitan Tai Chi & Martial Arts. She started her training in Wushu at the age of seven and made a sports-related visit to Japan in 1984. After graduating from Fujian College of Physical Education in 1992, she worked at the Fujian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (now Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine) as Director of the Traditional Health Maintenance Teaching & Research Office of the Sports Department and head coach of the college Wushu team. Lynn was awarded the title of China’s Best College Trainer on three occasions. Several dissertations she wrote on Tai Chi and Fitness were published in China’s national journals. She won the first prizes for the Baduanjin and Yijinjing group events at the 4th International Health Qigong Tournament and Exchange, and the first place for the Baduanjin at China’s First international Health Qigong Tournament.

Master Lynn is Coach of Pan American Wushu Championship Gold and Silver Winner and Head Coach of Sitan Tai Chi & Martial Arts in New York.
